Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. has begun construction of a new mixed-use retail and parking facility for the City of Punta Gorda. The project, on the corner of Herald Court and U.S. 41, will consist of a four-level, 409-space parking garage, with a portion of the ground floor available for retail leasing.

The project team consists of job-site superintendent Jason Prokopetz, project manager Frank Mullins and general superintendent Frank Bell.

Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. recently announced the appointment of general superintendent Frank Bell to the board of trustees of the Charlotte Local Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps develop educational programs and organize fundraising events to benefit children in the Charlotte County school system.

Sunset Realty of Sarasota welcomes Realtors/associates Robert "Rob" Greenland and Ida Kay Tidwell to its practice.

Broker associate Jay Sparr has joined Re/Max Excellence of Longboat Key and St. Armands Circle. A graduate of Ohio State University, Sparr specializes in selling vacation homes, land and commercial and investment property.
